Editing anim.wad file?

I have been wondering if it is at all possible to edit the anim.wad file to match cars.wad file.

I think this is possible as I downloaded a few years ago a 2010 package containing a 2010 season cars.wad file plus a matching anim.wad file.

If this is possible, could someone please send me a very detailed set of instructions on the process.
Note that I don't use ZaZtools, I have Photoshop, wadupdater, texresizer 3.4 as I am a novice editor. I only edited cars.wad so far to match the 2016 season.
