Disable Cars during a session (1 reply)

Hey,

I was wondering if there is a way to stop the AI from going back out on track during a practice or Qualifying session after they crash or have a terminal car failure. It is kinda annoying that they have infinite spare cars. And it would mix up the starting grid a little bit if you could somehow disable that.

File "cars" too heavy (2 replies)

Hi guys. For a few years the cars file has reached 1 GB (sometimes it exceeds it). Playing alone is not a problem, but for people like me playing in LAN this often determines the crash of GP4 (considering that the LAN network with cable "cross" travels at 1 Gb/s and each file "cars" weighs 1 Gb plus some Mb of the track etc. and the exchange of data is reciprocal, problems are normal). It is estimated that to play in LAN a 300 Mb "cars" file is already too heavy. For this I use a "cars" file of MOD 2011 that weighs about 290 Mb and, for now, everything works very well (we can finish the race).
I would like to use one of the "cars" of recent years, but it would be necessary to lighten car_lod 1,2,3 and 4 for each car. Is there anyone who can explain how it's done? I remember they were trying, but I have no news.

Deactivating steering assist in GP3 when using a keyboard

Hey Folks,

I play Grand Prix 3 with a keyboard. I would love to fully turn off the steering assist, but I don't know, how I can do that...
I have found a post about GP4, where you can download the GP4 Tweaker and just turn it off manually.
However, I was not able to find a similar tool for GP3.

I use the GPx Patch, but I was not able to find an option there, either.

Can someone help me? Steering Assist ist really annoying.

Hello and thank you to mortal and salvasirignano.

I can't use easter island track cause it crashes to desktop. here's below the log file. I use Mod 2017 without zaz tools but i have the same problem with other mods. I've installed the original cd and the game said "error : unvalid file" (le format du fichier n'est pas reconnu) as if the dat file was corrupted, but I've downloaded it at the "Easter Island / Rapa Nui Circuit [RELEASED]" topic from salvasirignano.

Hello everyone!

Just a little question, in which folder can I find the steering wheels of the cars?

I see that the cars body ( .lod file) are in GPSAVES/Carsets/.../Cars but the steering wheels don't appear when I load a .lod file...

Hello, can somebody please tell me what the f*** is wrong here? The game crash suddenly on lap 58 of 77 on the original 2001 Hungaroring. I had never a crash on this track any time before and the cars.wad was also running for the last 12 races without any problems! ;-( :-( (N) (N)

Hello !!!!

I'd like to make a request.

Who knows how to bring the right side more to the left? The purpose is to make the two mirrors in the same plane / distance.

Maybe the solution is to change the angle of the onboard camera more to the right ..... but doing so also involves moving the steering wheel from the car to the center ...

What do the experts suggest?

Unfortunately I do not know how to do this. Could anyone do this?

From what I could see the sides of the car has the same shape ... long ago I wanted to find this carshape ... but the problem now is the right side of the car.

I would love to learn how to do this ...

Hello drivers! After the '87 season, I did not have much time because of my job: I had decided to play the following seasons without updating the F1 tracks. But coming to the 1990 season, I realized I had updated the tracks enough and I decided to share the whole game package!
In this version, you can choose the real configuration of the 1990 carset race by race, or the default setting for entire season. Also, when the race is wet, you can choose the track with the wet settings via GpxTrack - "Track90wet.set". I hope there are no graphic problems and you will have fun! I uploaded the intro video but in my pc I don't hear the audio! I hope you can hear in your PC! Many thanks to all the members of the grandprixgames site because I have taken here and there things (tracks, objects, textures, etc ...) to be included in this season Gp3-1990. Have fun my friends! ;-)

Hello

Windows 10 updated my PC yesterday and now it's impossible to play GP4. I selected compatibity program as usual (windows vista pack 2 etc...) but the game doesn't launch. I have a black screen as if i did'nt select compatiblity option and it even doesn't crash, so no log file, i just reboot each time. #@:-( :-[ windows 10. Fed up with all these updates ! So, can someone already encountered this problem and help me ! Thank so much.

PS : I've reinstalled two times the game.
